Hermits Cave Lookout

Hermits Cave

and Lookout

Hermits Cave lookout is a must when in Griffith. The lookout offers great views across orchards, vineyards and rice fields to Cocoparra National Park in the distance. The cave was once home to Valerio Riccetti, a miner from Broken Hill, who after being jilted created a home of stone walls, steps and pathways linking the chapel, garden and main cave area. Call into the Griffith Visitors Information Centre to find out more about the interesting history of Valerio Riccetti.
